MoHo Expertise
our love of riding motorbikes

...because my love of vehicles with 2 wheels began very early (in addition to the dog that I had at the time ..). At home, on a wonderful mountain farm close to our neighbouring town of Radstadt, the conditions for "free riding" through the meadows and through the forest of my local mountain were ideal. At 13 years old I was finally given my father's moped, a KTM Comet 50.
This KTM was naturally tested daily after school to ascertain its top speed on gravel roads and for its off-road capabilities. Upgraded carburettors, piston filed down for more piston displacement and air filters off - it was weight optimisation (=taking everything off that wasn't completely necessary) - that's how my Kati was souped-up and disassembled and reassembled about 50 times.
But what must happen happened - a piston seizure with landing in the forest ended my relationship with the KTM. Later, at 16 years old, a KTM 250 Vollcross made my dreams come true. After my motocross phase was "ended" at 18 years old by the hunters on our mountain, I had to sell my beloved Cross.
The start of my career
After graduating from the business academy and starting my career at the Atomic ski factory, there was a break from motorcycles for about 3 years. The passion for riding motorcycles never left me though and so one day a Yamaha FZ750 stood in front of my flat - other bikes were a Husquarna 610 and Ducati Monster 900. Finally I came upon the BMW Boxer motorcycles - this is my new baby - the best I've ever sat on...
Between the Yamaha and Husquarna I ultimately got to know my wife Nadja, daughter of our present day company. As a lateral starter coming from the ski industry into the restaurant industry there were naturally several pre-programmed stumbling blocks.
Then & Now

Today we are glad that we are able to look back on 10 successful years since taking over the company and in addition that we are able to count 2 healthy and happy children among our family...
10 years ago we also began to concentrate increasingly on our motorcyclist guests in summer and now almost exclusively so. So we are also proud to be one of the Moho member companies for 4 years and undertake everything so that our customers are happy and satisfied.
Once or twice a week (Tuesdays and/or Fridays) I go on a motor biking tour with our guests. For the most part I show our guests the beautiful places in the nearby area - via "secret" routes which are not to be found on the official touring programme, we go to rustic alpine pastures and lakes - "Curves and enjoyment" are the most important things here.
It is also possible that you may have to prove your skills off-road, and maybe even have to walk a few minutes by foot. Moreover, I naturally also enjoy going along on the parade tours such as to Nockalm or Grossglockner.
Our home town of Altenmarkt lies in the heart of Austria and offers a rich variety of touring possibilities in every direction. The mix of mountains and lakes - is what our guests learn to treasure and love most of all.
We are proud of the good reputation of our varied cuisine - after a lovely tour, enjoying the evening with a good Achterl red wine is a part of it... Our long standing employees in the restaurant will indulge you with delicacies from local and international cuisine - that's a promise! Recently my wife completed a training course to become a nutritionist and therefore is able to cater specially to the requirements of our nutrition-conscious guests.
So then, see you soon - We're looking forward to it!
Nadja & Christian
